Time

Sharing your time, talents, and resources allows us to provide the needed services and programs to participants. ARCH depends on the generous volunteers that thoughtfully give up their time serving the community.  Civic, corporate or school groups often volunteer for a one time service project and individuals may volunteer for any length of time they have available.

Specific volunteer duties available:
  • Puppet Troupe Volunteer
    • Performing with the Phoenix Chapter of the national volunteer puppet troupe to promote public awareness in school age children. (For more information on this subject please check out our Kids on the Block program.)
  • Special Olympics Training Coaches
    • Practice is held during ARCH  program hours.  If interested, please contact ARCH for current training schedules.  
  • Daily Activity Assistant
    • Assists staff in regularly scheduled educational classes, recreational activities and health and wellness programs. 
    • If you are able to volunteer on a regular basis and wish to instruct a specific class, please contact ARCH for scheduling options.

  • Please Note: ARCH is an at-will employer and we conduct background investigations for all applications being considered for employment and volunteer work. Background investigations include as applicable: criminal background, reference checks, a review ofthe past three years of your driving record provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles, and drug screening for eligible drivers. Failure to receive satisfactory reports from the investigations and/or refusal to submit to the investigations will be cause for disqualification.

    My signature below authorizes ARCH to conduct a complete background investigation. I authorize the agencies contacted by ARCH to provide the information requested and I release them from liability for any information that they may provide. I understand that any authorization to volunteer is contingent upon receipt of satisfactory reports and background investigation.
