Summer and Winter Day Camps are provided during school vacation times for children with disabilities. We feel at ARCH that the primary objective of the Summer and Winter Day Camps is to help maintain family unity by providing parents with specialized respite child-care in a safe and healthy environment during your child's school break.
Geared towards the middle-school and high-school aged special education students, participants are provided with an array of therapeutic and recreational activities, training in independent living, social skills development, and personal problem solving. Community integration and field trips are also an important aspect of the program and are incorporated into monthly activities. In past years, we have gone to the movies, bowling alley, swimming pool, museums, laser tag, water parks, and even Arizona Diamondbacks baseball games!
This is a DTS/DDD funded program, so please contact your Case Manager/Support Coordinator for required documentation. Additionally, we are accepting private-pay options. Program hours are Monday- Friday from 9:00am-1:00pm. Extended hours are also available. Transportation is available for picking-up and dropping-off your child but space is limited. If you will require transportation, please contact ARCH at your earliest convenience so we can look into specific transportation options for you and your family.
