Major Adventure Trips are offered throughout the year for unique experiences both in and out of state.Annual trips include: "California Dreaming," a week long theme park tour in September; "Havsupai Hike," a four day 22 mile round trip hiking & camping trip in May; "Camping in the Pines, " a weekend camping trip to the high country in August; and "Laughlin," two weekends a year usually in March and November.
Other Major Trips vary but have included places such as Hawaii, Yellowstone Park, Historic USA, Cruises, Mexico, and more.
Our Adventure Trips not only provide special supervised vacations for individuals with disabilities, but also a time of respite for families and caregivers.
Adventure trip participants must provide an attendant to accompany them if 1:1 supervision is required; otherwise the supervision ratio is approximately 1:4. Participants must be able to be "on the go" for several hours. They must be able to pay the vacation fees or have available respite hours authorized to ARCH in advance.
